Tomorrow you are invited to meet in Main Plaza for the National Day of Prayer celebration.  The Ceremony officially begins at noon after the blowing of the Shofar, and the posting of the colors.  Pastor Ruben Mendez will welcome all and pray over our Leaders, The Governor's proclamation will be read by State Representative Ellen Troxclair, the County Judge’s Proclamation by Shane Stolarczyk, the mayor’s Proclamation by Frank Ritchie, prayers for county leaders from Country Commissioner Andra Wisian, all in authority from Kyle Biedermann, prayers for law enforcement from Sheriff Al Auxier, and others praying over our churches, our families, our youth, our businesses, and prayers for the media which they are let yours truely take that one.  We’ll see you in the Main Plaza tomorrow at noon for the National Day of Prayer.

And a sad post by George Strait last night where he said - quote:

We lost another one of our good friends and a huge part of our musical journey yesterday. Tom Foote, our one-time drummer and long-time road manager for around 48 years, suddenly passed away at his home after our rehearsal. 2024 is taking its toll on the Ace in the Hole group. We’re all heartbroken to say the least.

Back in March, George Strait’s business manager Erv Woolsey passed away, as did long time fiddle and mandolin player for the Ace in the Hole Band, Gene Elders.
