The Greyhounds win their final regular season home game, and Bill Merrill rides off into the sunset in his last regular season home game as head coach of the purple and white with a win. 3-1 the final score against Wimberley. This wraps up a 44-year career as a coach, and the last 14 were spent with Boerne. Well done Greyhounds! They play one more on the road this Friday, ahead of the postseason.

Champion defeats Seguin 9-0 Tuesday at Charger Field. The Chargers close out the regular season Friday at Seguin as they continue to fight for a playoff spot.

Amy Ruede is your Region 8 Texas High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year for her season with the girl Greyhound team. Huge honor! Congrats to Coach Ruede.

Sam And Jess Gonzales of Greyhound tennis are 4A state finalists after winning their semifinals match. They will play Wednesday Morning for the title.

For Champion Tennis: Avi Gallegos earned bronze in singles, and Sophia Raimondo along with Amber Lewis earned bronze in doubles at the 5A tournament. 

The NFL Draft starts this Thursday, and the Dallas Cowboys are expected to get their first pick 26th overall in the first round. With Ezekiel Elliott released earlier this year, we’ll see how the Cowboys’ draft strategy plays out.

The Rangers fell again in Cincinnati 7-6, and the Astros beat the best team in baseball- 5-0 against the Rays.
