However, stormy weather and navigational errors eventually force the Mayflower off course and they landed on the tip of Cape Cod at what is now Provincetown Massachusetts.

Here in Boerne with wildfire risk rising in Kendall County—there’s a number of homeowners facing insurance non-renewals.  So The Hill Country Fire Coalition of Texas invites builders, developers, architects, planners, real estate and insurance professionals, landscapers, and land-management professionals to the Wildfire Prepared Home Workshop, September 30th (thats two weeks from today) - from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Boerne City Hall, The workshop will be held in the Training Room on the first floor and it’s free but space is limited.  RSVP by September 23 at info@hcfcoftx.com for the Hill Country Fire Coalition of Texas.

Families in the Hill Country have a chance to bring a little bit of the world home this school year.  The SHARE! High School Exchange Program is looking for local host families for international students from Brazil, France and Germany.  Host families provide a welcoming home and help students experience American school, family life and community traditions.
