The Kendall County Jr Livestock Show is taking place this week, and there are plenty of young cowpokes looking to show off their prized animals. So far they have crowned Avery Woerner as the Grand Champion Turkey exhibitor, Addison Scott as Champion Market Hog exhibitor, and Lillie Vogt for Champion Breeding Heifer exhibitor…and here’s what’s next for Lillie…

The major developer, Lennar Homes, has pulled it’s application for it’s subdivision that would have been built in Comfort. The national home builder rescinded its application from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and their plan to build an 1100-home neighborhood over just 580 acres. Comfort residents pushed backed when they learned the project would have dumped 600,000 gallons of treated sewer water into local creeks, which would flow directly into the Trinity aquifer. Power to the people.
