And born on this date in 1735 - John Adams - the first US Vice President and 2nd President of the United States.  He was also the father of the 6th president John Quincy Adams.  Also born 204 years later was Grace Barnett Wing better known as Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane…er…better known as Jefferson Starship…er…Starship.  As John Adams was a founding father of this country….Grace Slick helped build this city…

Okay dear Boerne Radio listeners - I have a story for you, yesterday I got to meet Hailey Johndrow - a high school senior here in Boerne, she was the Kendall County Fair Queen last year, and Duchess the year before. and I want you to hear a little bit more about Hailey…and here’s Hailey…

So here’s the rough patch - when Hailey was 6 her kidneys stopped growing and a transplant has always been on the horizon, and her doctors are saying the time is now. Kidney Disease leads to unclean blood, which makes you itchy, with severe headaches, and the brain fog is real.

On November 11th she will turn 18,

Her mom Lara who’s a teacher at St. John Lutheran School says the need is not writing a check…

Well there ain’t no rest for our first responders here in Kendall County, especially if you find yourself patrolling Highway 46 or 87. Yesterday morning, first responders were called to the 500 block of 87 North near Kendall Falls because of an 18 Wheeler engulfed in flames. After fire fighters put out the blaze, the Highway was able to fully reopen.
