It’s Friday October 13th

Tomorrow is the Annular Eclipse that begins at 10:20 in the morning - the forecast is still calling for sunny skies with a 100% chance of the moon blocking it with the Ring of Fire at 11:51…it’ll last about 4 minutes and will officially end at about 1:30.  And Kendall County Commissioner Andra Wisian is back with a final Eclipse Tip.

Well as you know Main Street will be hopping as the Hill Country Mile will be closed for the Rod Run with 400 cars with nothing displayed past 1975 - that’s from River Road to Blanco Road from 6am-5pm. There will be a detour routes in place to alleviate some of the traffic but just count on it…and if you see Dusty Rhodes tell him great job.

The Market Days in Main Plaza will also be happening at the same time, and Boerne Radio will be hanging out in our new Richter Studio next to the Cork and Keg - so pop in if you can and be ready to talk into the can with your best I Love Boerne.

Other events around town include the Farmers Market at Herff Farm, the Bluegrass Jam at 11am at the Agricultural Museum and Arts Center - they love Blue:Thirty - the Boerne Radio Bluegrass Cover Song of the Day every day at 2:30.  The Kuhlmann-King Museum will be open at noon, and the Kendall County Old Jail Museum opens at 10. 

Programming alert - we’re airing the Charger Wagner game LIVE tonight on Boerne Radio - and then the Greyhound game on tape delay…don’t forget about the mighty Greyhound Band - they participated in the UIL Region 29 contest yesterday and earned full sweepstakes ratings from all the judges - that means straight 1’s - so the band plays tonight, and then next week they compete in Pflugerville next week against 25 bands for a chance to advance to State.  Go Greyhound Band.
