And looking back 25 years this week into Boerne’s past as reported in the Boerne Star - Patrick Heath was the Mayor,  Paula White was the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce President, The Guy Chipman Company Real Estate Ad listed a White Rock Home with a standing metal roof, 4 Bedrooms, 3 full baths with 3058 square feet on 3.8 Acres near Boerne High School.  Are you ready?  $257,000.  It was also 25 years ago this week they broke ground in the field on West Bandera and Norris - behind the old Norris home for the Oak Park Village shopping center.  The first businesses that rolled in were Radio Shack, an Internet Cafe, and a Blockbuster Video.

In yesterday’s edition The Boerne Star, rising Star Journalist Veronica Rector reported on a special mother of two named Erin Crawford who has only lived in Boerne for 4 years…… friends of hers in California were checking on her to make sure she was okay after the floods.  She let them know she was fine but was going to run to the store to get some needed supplies……two hours later there was $695 in her Venmo - which then turned into $15000 after a thank you email on her Instagram.  She purchased chainsaws, first aid supplies, industrial fans, dining tables and food.  She did more than that…see the full story in the Boerne Star.

The Boerne Bookshop is hosting their Wine, Writing and Casual Fun meeting this evening for all of the creatives in Boerne. Starting at 7, let your creativity pour out on the page and write like no one is watching. The event is $20 and 21+, and the Boerne Bookshop will provide the entertainment.
