It’s Monday January 30th.
In music history, a couple things happened on this date…The Beatles gave their last public performance in 1969 with that rooftop concert on their Apple headquarters in London. The concert ended 42 minutes later when the Royal Bank of Scotland called the police to stop the noise. And just 4 years later in 1973, the glitter-rock band KISS gave their first public performance in Queens New York with less than 10 people attending. Happy 50th Anniversary Paul, Gene, Ace, and Peter.

The City of Boerne had another power outage early Sunday morning and this time it wasn’t a ringtail squirrel. Power was restored around 9am, and no one was injured in the incident except for the buzzard that landed on the wrong piece of equipment. A buzzard getting buzzed…another first for Boerne.
The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual awards gala at the Cana Ballroom last Saturday night honoring Boerne Businesses. Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center won Nonprofit of the Year, Alex Lopez who builds strong roofs for Kendall County Roofing won Businessman of the Year, Businesswoman of the Year went to Leigh Owen of the Cibolo Center for Conservation, the 2022 Business of the Year with over 50 Employees went to Cavender Chevrolet, and are you ready for this…the 2022 Business of the Year with under 50 Employees went to Boerne Radio 103.9FM.
