So while the Greyhounds won last night, the Chargers play tonight in the Playoffs, The Boerne Braves 8U team is wrapping up their very first season, and not only were they the 2025 Mid Season Champions - tomorrow these 7-8 year old nuke hitters are heading to Round Rock to play baseball in the CEB Winter World Series!  Congrats in advance Boerne Braves, and to Coachs Simmons and Sanchez - Go Braves!

 

Also tomorrow morning join Boerne Radio in Main Plaza for the annual Boerne Family YMCA Turkey Trot - don’t forget to pick up your packet today and please come by our booth and say hi as we’ll also be playing DJ. 

 

Give a pint, get a pint! The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center is rolling up to 28 Songs Brewhouse and Kitchen in their Bloodmobile to host a blood drive today from 3 to 8. Not only will you receive a drink token from 28 songs, you’ll receive a free Cafe Ole 12 oz coffee bag and are placed in a raffle for a $10 or $100 giftcard from H-E-B where everyone is a winner. 

 

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming new Detention Officer Vanessa Lewis to their crew. Officer Lewis is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration. She is excited to begin her career in criminal justice, so if you see her walking her beat, welcome her to Boerne.

 

The Christmas trees have arrived for the Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Department annual fundraiser. This weekend and next, you can visit the tree lot from 10 to 2 to get the Christmas season started and support a great cause.
