On this date in 1952 was the first ever Rock and Roll Concert, which was held at the Cleveland Arena and organized by Alan Freed…the man credited with coining the phrase Rock and Roll. The Moondog Coronation Ball had headliners such as Paul Williams and Tiny Grimes, as well as The Dominoes and Danny Cobb. Tickets were only $1.75 at the door, and was carried live on WJW 850AM.

More announced businesses coming to Boerne in Boerne Town Center there along I-10 and Norris Lane - Sprouts Farmers Market will be the main anchor of the complex a grocery story that leans more organic than most, plus the names that you may already know about Nothing Bundt Cakes, Panda Express, McAlister’s Deli, Chicken Salad Chick, and Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers. Hopefully by the time football season rolls around we’ll have another place to hang after the game… because the kids dig Chicken Salad Chick.

And some news from our neighbors Northeast of us - MyCanyonLake.com reported the Texas Water Company is pausing new service commitments for nine proposed developments in Comal County citing rapid growth and drought. TWC provides service to approximately 78,000 people through 26,000 water and wastewater service connections in  Kendall, Comal, Blanco, Bandera, Medina, Hays, and Travis counties.
