Hey did you catch Mrs. Sala’s second grade class from Fair Oaks Elementary on KSAT 12 for their Science with Sara segment?  The kiddos helped with an experiment regarding whale blubber - in fact they made their own by filling a Ziploc bag full of Crisco, and dunking it in ice water. The project looked at whether the blubber would help insulate humans from the cold the way it insulates animals in the arctic.

Little Entrepreneurs in Boerne are preparing for Boerne Lemonade Day, starting with a  Financial Education course last week. 17 kids from around Boerne gathered to learn about safe financial practices, how to budget and how to run a successful business. They will serve their lemonade and compete on May 4th from 11-2pm up and down Main Street Boerne.

And on the evening of May 4th is the 3rd Annual Boots for the Badges Bash at the new Pure Country that benefits the 100 Club of Kendall County.  100% of the money raised goes to the mission of taking care of our local first responders - law enforcement, firefighters and EMS in Kendall Country so get your tickets today - there will be a silent auction, live auction, live music, and great food and drinks with your ticket - reserve a table when you email president.100clubkc@gmail.com.
