Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins joined Bob Miller this morning on the Morning News Express for a conversation about local law enforcement, community, and his upcoming campaign event.

Jenkins weighed in on the appointment of Kevin Meyer as the new Chief of the Frederick Police Department, saying he was pleased to see the city promote from within and give the position to someone who already knows the department and the Frederick community.

The Sheriff also previewed his “End of Summer Get Out the Vote” Rally happening this weekend at AMVETS Post #2 — better known as “The Farm.” Jenkins says the goal is about more than politics. He wants to feed people, meet people, and have conversations with residents from across the political spectrum.

His message? Even if you've never met him before, come out, grab some food, ask questions, and get to know the person behind the campaign.
