Our Guest this morning on Bob Tanem In The Garden with Edie Tanem was Matt Mattus, director of Horticulture for the American Horticultural Society.  The Society has been publishing a series of "The Essential Guide" books, and this morning Edie is clutching a new (but soon to be tattered) copy of The Essential Guide to Plant Propagation.  Edie likes this book, and we had a fun interview for the whole hour on the show this morning.  Other books in the series include The Essential Guide to Organic Vegetable Gardening and The Essential Guide to Ecological Gardening, plus The Essential Guide to Perennial Gardening, with more on the way.  The books are attributed to The American Horticultural Society, rather than any particular author or editor.

Our program is heard live on 810 KSFO and on KSFO.com each Sunday morning at 9:00 local time.   This podcast is the on-demand playback of that same show, minus musical interludes and most advertising.
