Oaktree Capital's Howard Marks Talks Private Equity and Real Estate

AMD CEO Lisa Su and World Labs co-founder and CEO Fei-Fei Li announced that the chipmaker will acquire World Labs for $8.2 billion. Speaking with Bloomberg’s Ed Ludlow in San Francisco on Monday, Su said, “The more you understand end to end, the better system you are going to build.” The all-stock transaction is expected to close by the end of the year, subject to regulatory approvals, the companies said Monday.

White House National Economic Director Kevin Hassett suggests that, while the US economy is now on track for strong growth, “outside” factors could get in the way of the administration’s hopes for at least a 3% expansion rate while speaking with BTV's David Westin at the Economic Club of New York luncheon. Asked whether the deficit is on track for 3% by the end of Trump’s term, Hassett says, “it’s going to depend on you know basically whether there’s ‘force majeure’ measures that come in the way of that.”
