Blind Insights - Measuring Genuine Progress (Special Guest Phil Lawn)

View descriptionShare

We measure success by income and productivity, yet this misses the mark for comparing countries long term. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is an inadequate measurement for ecological economist Phil Lawn from the University of Adelaide. David and Tim caught up with Phil to discuss the shortcomings of GDP and the alternatives to measure the genuine progress of a country, it's a lot more complicated than you may think, and the implications for resource use and the welfare of people are massive.
