Astika Rishi was the wise son of the sage Jaratkaru and the serpent princess Manasa, making him part human and part naga by lineage. He is celebrated for stopping King Janamejaya’s snake sacrifice (Sarpa Satra), thereby saving the serpent race from extinction through his wisdom and compassion.

King Anaranya was a noble ruler of the Ikshvaku dynasty, known for his valor and adherence to dharma. When defeated by Ravana in battle, he proclaimed a curse that Ravana would ultimately be destroyed by a descendant of his own lineage—Lord Rama.

Ashoka Sundari is the daughter of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, created from a wish-fulfilling tree (Kalpavriksha) to ease Parvati’s loneliness. She is associated with beauty and grace, and is believed to marry Nahusha, a powerful king in Hindu mythology.
