Wednesday, March 26: ESPN Ithaca's Community Gamechangers recognizes individuals throughout the Finger Lakes who have made an impact in our sports community.

Ricky Stewart has been a cornerstone of Newfield athletics for nearly three decades, coaching basketball, track and field, football, and softball. He exemplifies the impact of a coach - not just developing athletes but shaping lives through valuable life lessons. A recent inductee into the Newfield Athletics Hall of Fame, Ricky remains deeply committed to the school district and community.

One of Ricky's fondest memories was helping Newfield boys basketball win the program's first ever state championship - a season that was dedicated to his late wife, Jean.
