As South Africa marks Youth Month, we celebrate Naledi Setzin, a young author who achieved the remarkable feat of writing and self-publishing two books while still in matric last year.

Through storytelling and poetry, Naledi is using her voice to inspire reflection, creativity, and meaningful conversations among her peers.

Her books, Jacaranda Tree and Locked In a Suitcase, explore themes ranging from environmental responsibility and community care to identity, emotion, and personal growth.

A wheelchair user as a result of childhood polio, Lydia has turned farming into a source of income, empowerment and opportunity for other people living with disabilities.
