we continue to observe 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against
Women and Children in partnership with Lady Liberty SA - this
morning’s interview will focus on how Sexual Gender Based
Violence affects women and children with disabilities.
A new national gender-based violence study conducted by the
Human Sciences Research Council reveals that over 31% of women
with disabilities have experienced sexual or physical violence in
their lifetime.

Sandile Mkhize was rendered a T5 paraplegic after injuring his spinal in 3 places during a devasting motorbike accident on the the 26 th of January 2013 while on his way to have breakfast with his friends in Witbank. He is now the Director of One Chance At Life - an NPO committed to mobilizing more &amp; diverse support towards the growing needs of
Differently Abled Persons.
