World Glaucoma Week runs from March 8th to the 14th , focusing on Uniting for a Glaucoma-Free World; to raise awareness, promote eye screenings, and prevent irreversible blindness.
Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that damage the optic nerve, often due to high fluid pressure inside the eye, leading to irreversible vision loss or blindness. We get more from Dr Nombuso Mathe , Vice President of the South African Glaucoma Society.
