Nerida Colley, NORWACS Health Promotion Project Officer is my first guest on BELLY today.
NORWACS: Northern Rivers Women & Children’s Services inc. is a local feminist, community-based charity that provides health and wellbeing services for the diversity of women and their children, in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales.
Their services recognise and challenge the effects of sex-role stereotyping and gender discrimination on women’s health and wellbeing. They work to empower women to determine their individual health needs and to make, and access, evidence informed choices.
We’ll be chatting to Nerida about a project called NOURISH NORTHERN RIVERS a NORWACS health promotion initiative proudly funded by the Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF).
Techa Beaumont is my second guest (pictured left) coming in to dish the dirt on the launch of a local regenerative giving circle and the associated event WILD IMAGININGS a gathering of artists, activists and changemakers planting bold ideas for the future of our region.
Brought to us by Seed Northern Rivers (formerly Mullum S.E.E.D.) a dynamic ecosystem of changemakers, organisations, and community groups dedicated to regenerating the environment and building resilience across the Northern Rivers.
The initiative is an opportunity for anyone to support local regenerative projects in their place. It's up to all of us to make the future we want to live in, and this is a powerful and FUN way to get involved!
