What if the only way forward was to face the past?
This question sits quietly at the heart of Displace I Call Home; a poetic new work from Byron’s emerging theatre company. This original play is premiering this week at Byron Theatre.
Written and directed by Bianca Siri-anni, the production marks the debut of Byron Theatre Company – a creative initiative dedicated to telling original stories made by, and for, this community. Bianca says the play has been ‘a long time coming, and that it grew out of questions she has carried for years – about grief, silence, ancestral trauma, and the complexity of belonging.’
Bianca will be in at 9.30 to chat to us about the very exciting debut launch of the Byron Theatre Company and offer us a deeper understanding of the play Displace I Call Home and the team of creatives who are all helping to bring this to fruition.
