President Trump said that he disapproves of the latest framework put forward by Iran in an effort to end hostilities, telling reporters ‘we just had a conversation with Iran. Let’s see what happens. But I would say that I am not happy,’ as he was leaving the White House to travel to an event in Florida. The President is also arguing that because of the ongoing ceasefire with Iran, the war is over and he does not need congressional approval for military operations in the region.

Lawmakers voted to end the longest partial government shutdown in US history as the House passed a bill to fund most of the Department of Homeland Security, omitting funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol.The president is expect time sign the bill when it reaches his desk and Republicans plan to address the omitted funding using a future reconciliation package. 
Speaking to reporters after the voter House Speaker Mike Johnson said “We will finish the work and finally — again for three years with no crazy Democratic reforms — we will fund Border Patrol and immigration enforcement as soon as we return to the next work session.”

Trump's nominee for chair of the Federal Reserve Kevin Warsh passed a key vote from the Senate Banking Committee to send his nomination to the full senate, despite pushback from prominent Democrats on the panel.
Massachusetts Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren slammed the nomination as political, saying “Trump has not been subtle about his takeover," in remarks to the committee. 
The key vote came after Senator Thom Tillis removed his block of Warsh's nomination over the DOJ investigation into Fed Chair Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve, as the department handed it over to a watchdog.
