Reunited
Jack makes it to Docklands in the hope of being reunited with Badger where she proves to be every bit the hero. But as tragedy strikes, Jack must face up to the possibility of saying goodbye to his four- legged friend forever.
Homeward Bound
On the train back to London, Jack tells Lily and her friends about his adventure. Arriving in his home city he faces another challenge: finding Badger. An encounter with a soldier in Hyde Park leads him to the barracks where she’s stationed. But is he too late to be reunited?
Escape
Reeling from his day on the farm Jack can’t sleep. As he tunes into a conversation from the Weatheralls, he discovers their true feelings and makes plans to escape with the morning milk delivery.
Evacuated
Jack reveals to best mate Billy how tough life on the farm is. He’s not enjoying being an evacuee and misses Badger. An incident with the cows cements bad feeling with the Weatheralls. A letter from home fives him hope about Badger until Mrs Weatherall finds out.
Tea with the Duchess
Having made it across London, Jack Josie and Badger finally make it to Duchess Hamilton’s house. He bids Badger an emotional goodbye as he prepares to join the other evacuees on the train out of London but as he discovers where he’s staying he starts to have regrets.
Too Hot
As he attempts to flee the shed Jack finds himself trapped. An offer of breakfast from Josie leads to a plan to take Badger to the Duchess, but they need to get across London first – what if someone spots Badger and takes her to the dog’s home?
Dogfight in the Sky
A trip to the park triggers a memory of when Jack’s mum was alive. News of a Duchess nicknamed ‘the Lady of the Dogs’ offers a lifeline to Badger but as they’re caught in an air raid they’re forced to hide out until they can continue their adventure.
On The Run
After realising his brother has taken Badger to be put to sleep, Jack races through the East End, desperate to find his four-legged friend. Making it to the dogs’ home he confronts his brother. But is he too late to save her?
Home Truths
Frank reveals that children like Jack need to leave the city. He promises Badger is going to be safe, but after witnessing a fight between his brother and Elaine’s dad, Jack is confronted by the prospect that his brother is out for revenge.
A Game Goes Wrong
Jack’s bomb-site adventure with Badger and best mate Billy yields a treasure trove of supplies. A competition ensues between the pals to crown a champion. But with their eyes on the prize, will they notice their mistake before the truth comes out about what they’ve been up to?
