During pregnancy she was made aware that her son would have a clubfoot, and since birth she and her partner have navigated medical appointments, casts, surgeries and more to help their little bub develop and grow in order to walk.

About 1 in every 1,000 babies is diagnosed with this lifelong condition, and this Mum wanted to share her experience to make the journey easier for others.

MOTHERHOOD CONFESSIONS: Navigating a diagnosis of clubfoot

This week we have the amazing Rachel Weinstock on the podcast to discuss all things bullying. We talk about what signs to look out for in our children, some strategies to use if your child is being bullied, how to approach this with their educators, what to do if your child is the bully, and so much more! This was one of our favourite episodes, and even if your child isn’t school age yet, Rachel shares some wonderful insights and tips that can be used to encourage respectful play and interactions at all ages. 

Rachel Weinstock is the author of “Be Who You Needed”, a book that is designed to be a guide for parents, educators, and caring adults who want to help young people transform their emotional well-being, self-confidence and happiness. She is also an educator with over 20 years experience, a Bullying Transformational Coach for Pre-Teens and Teens as well as a Anti-Bullying Speaker & Advocate. 

She holds Degrees in Visual Arts & Education, and was awarded the James W. Fair Leadership Award from the Ontario Institute For Studies In Education.

Rachel’s mission is to create a world where every child feels happy, confident, and safe, and her approach to working with young people is deeply impactful because of her lived experience of being bullied as a child and teenager.

172. Dealing with ‘defiance’ with Mandy from Raise Toddlers

We also chat about Elisha’s recent trip to Turkey for a breast lift, implants and liposuction, as well as the juggle of working multiple jobs, having three kids and being an online influencer!
