Merilyn Steele is a singer, songwriter, musician and music teacher has released 4 alt country albums, Ep and many singles. In 2013 won ‘Best Rockabilly Song” at the Canberra Country Blues and Roots Festival and has been nominated and finalist for many other songwriting awards.

Merilyn is a popular performer and regularly performs as a solo artist and with her band as well as with the Alter Ego Duo and fronts The Pink Chevy’s band. She has performed shows all around Australia and internationally in clubs, hotels, private functions, festivals, weddings, and cruises. Some performance highlights include support act to Normie Rowe, Lucky Grilles, Chad Morgan and performing at Gympie Muster, Whittlesea Vic, Sydney’s ‘The Basement’ with her band, Tamworth, Wagga Wagga, Kempsey truck Festival, Port Kembla Heritage Festival, Port Stephens Blue Water festival, Barham Stampede, Rooty Hill RSL, Mounties Club, South Sydney Juniors, Zealand’s Bay of Islands Country Rock Festival and the Canberra Country Rock & Blues Festival.

She is also a sought-after teacher of singing, guitar and songwriting both in person and online for remote students.
