Redgum, a folk, rock and political music group formed in Adelaide in 1975, releasing 11 studio, live and compilation albums, with Chart topping #1 hit “I Was Only 19” and the popular “I’ve Been To Bali Too” singles. Winners of a Golden Guitar County Music Award “Top Selling Song of the Year” and APRA (Australian Performing Right Association) Song of the Year Award, as well the Australian Entertainment Mo Award “Country Showgroup of the Year” won twice. The Group had toured internationally and Australia extensively.

John Schumann, singer, song-writer, author and guitar with Redgum 1975 to 1985, left the group due to a solo CBS recording contract. Winning the above awards for his song-writing and also APRA Most Performed Australasian Country Work Award for “Etched in Blue”, and a popular music festival and venue performer as well as performing for the Australian Defence Forces on overseas postings. John has released 8 studio and compilation albums, besides the Redgum releases. He has consistently been an advocate for social justice issues and veterans’ affairs.

The album sales are fund raising for the Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA), a not-for-profit company dedicated to helping ROADIES during hard times and serious illness through their welfare program. Many artists have generously given their permission for the release of the roadies desk tapes of their live performances that make up a diverse collection of some truly unique historical releases.
