The Water Runners, award-winning group are from Kiama NSW, awarded Best Band at the National Busking Championships, and finalists and runners up in the 2025 People’s Choice’ Australian Folk Alliance Awards. Their original songs combine influences from bluegrass, country, traditional folk and rockabilly as well as the work of contemporary modern folk / alt rock artists. Their previous albums “Further Down The Road”, “Point Of No Return” and “Heading South” all received national radio airplay.
The Water Runners have played major festivals, radio, pubs, clubs and community events from Sydney to the Snowy and beyond. They will be performing at the 2026 Illawarra Folk Festival & 2026 Tamworth Songwriters Award night & Tamworth Country Music Festival 2026.
