A Sydney Quarantine worker has tested positive to COVID-19 after receiving the vaccination.

The Quarantine worker was posted at the Sofitel Hotel in Wentworth and also to Mantra hotel in Haymarket.

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said the local authorities were notified asap and urgent contract tracing and genome sequencing is currently underway.

In Western Australia, the Labour Party has won the state election with favourite Mark McGowan returning as Premier for a second term.
