In Episode 1 of ‘Art Layers with Hornsby Art Society’, host Hadijah Munting has another chat with Jenny
Rowley committee member for The Hornsby Art Society on insights into his varied and interesting experiences
of approaching teachers and artists to give demonstrations at Hornsby’s art centre, Wallarobba.
Hadijah also interviews award winning artist Eva Molnar hailing all the way from Hungary at age 11. Listeners
will hear how inherently resourceful, resilient and ambitious artists are in general. Originally from Hungary, Eva
talks with Hadijah about her work; her inspiration and creativity; and her experience of being an artist in
Australia.
Episode 1 listeners will be enthralled by the yellow tailed black cockatoos bird song.
The Yellow tailed Black Cockatoos are also thought to be in decline as urban expansion reduces their habitat.
The IUCN’s conservation status for most species is ‘of least concern’ but in South Australia there are
threatened populations at state level.
