Rashed Fakhruddin talks about the importance of the work the American Cancer Society does, including research, advocacy, education and support for breast cancer patients and families, and why he got involved.
He added to his jobs of being an Engineering supervisor at Nashville Electric Service, and the Director of Community partnerships at Islamic Center of Nashville, the role of Ambassador in the Real Men Wear Pink initiative.
Rashed says after having open heart surgery four-and-a-half years ago, he's extremely aware of how fitness and exercise can positively affect our health, so he's spearheading a Fitness Crawl through the month of October, to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Many of the fitness studios are offering classes for free, and hoping you'll make a donation to the ACS.
