While she is continuously focusing on the storms moving through Middle Tennessee and South Kentucky, she faced her own storms with Stage 3 Endometriosis in 2025.
Danielle Breezy, chief meteorologist at WKRN News 2 in Nashville, is opening up about her years-long battle with endometriosis, a painful and often misunderstood condition affecting millions of women. After enduring severe symptoms, being dismissed by doctors, and eventually being diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis, Breezy underwent a laparoscopic hysterectomy earlier this year. Despite balancing recovery with the demands of covering Tennessee’s intense winter weather, she chose to publicly share her experience to encourage women to trust their instincts, advocate for their health, and speak openly about conditions that are too often overlooked.
Supported by her husband, Joe Breezy, as well as friends and family, Danielle hopes her story helps normalize conversations around women’s health and reminds others they do not have to suffer in silence.
