The judge in the au pair affair murder trial went against the prosecution and its star witness, sentencing Au pair Juliana Maghaleas to 10 years in prison. Maghaleas testified against her former boss and lover, Brendan Banfield, securing his conviction, thinking she was securing her freedom. The judge had other plans, and some harsh words for the 25-year-old, telling her she should spend the rest of her life in prison for the murder of Joe Ryan.
