“She Always Found Her Way To The Finish Line”: 2.2 Miles For Rachel Apa Today

The alma maters of marathon runner Rachel Apa are finishing the New York City Marathon for her today.  Apa collapsed at mile 24 during last week’s marathon, later dying from a rare condition that can happen from overexertion called rhabdomyolysis.  Both her college, Bucknell University,  and her high school are holding run/walk memorials to finish the 2.2 miles Rachel needed to cross the finish line.   Her family released a heartbreaking obituary honoring the 24 year hold and asking all of us to take her courageous spirit with us “to live truthfully and fully.”
