In a first of its kind trial, a school administrator is being held criminally responsible for her inaction the day a 6-year-old student shot his teacher with a handgun he brought to school. Former assistant principal Dr. Ebony Parker is facing significant prison time if convicted of 8 counts of felony child abuse. Teacher Abby Zwerner, who survived being shot in the chest, was the first to testify, saying she notified Parker and other teachers that the boy seemed suspicious and violent several times on the day of the shooting.
