Following a report by Reuters this week that NONE of the Nancy Guthrie ransom notes are legitimate, the FBI has released a statement attempting to clarify what they believe is real and what isn’t. While the feds admit that some of the notes were, in fact, extortion attempts, they insist that some of the other ransom notes “may potentially be legitimate and are still to be investigated as such.”  This is just another confusing twist in the mystery that deepens with every confusing headline.
