21-year-old Millie Bobby Brown announced this week that she has officially changed her name after marrying Jake Bongiovi. It got us curious just how many women in this country change their last names once they’re married, and the numbers surprised us, with 8 out of 10 women choosing to take their husband’s name. It’s even more interesting when you look at which women are more likely to keep their given surnames and how the United States compares to other countries around the world.
