Because two members of its pardons and parole board have alleged conflicts of interest, the clemency hearing scheduled for today has now been “postponed until further notice.” Humphreys had already made headlines earlier for his exorbitant and jaw dropping last meal request which you have to hear to believe. Finally, as Florida continues its record setting year of executions, its last lethal injection is set for Thursday, just as new research shows public opposition for the death penalty is at its highest level in nearly 50 years.
