The defense attorney for accused double murderer Brendan Banfield scored major points today, calling two forensic digital experts with the Fairfax Police Department up to the stand who refuted the state’s catfishing theory. The two testified Brendan’s wife Christine had control of her devices, making it impossible for Brendan or the au pair to have created the online fetish profile that led to the murders.
