Despite the powerful pleas from the victim’s son, West was declared dead at 6:22pm CT Thursday night, executed by the state of Alabama using nitrogen gas. West was convicted of the 1997 murder of a mother of two who was working at the gas station West and his girlfriend robbed, but in the wake of West’s execution, her son has a lesson for us all.
