Raegan's Story

Jan nominated Raegan who has had a tough couple of months.  Her husband Tyler passed away in August after a brief battle with cancer.  They managed to get married quickly knowing he didn’t have much time left.  Raegan has been soldiering on, continuing with her schooling while still living in the house she and Tyler bought.  Christmas is going to be very different this year, and Jan wanted to make sure Raegan gets to enjoy it as much as she can.

Jessica's Story

Heather nominated her sister Jessica who just welcomed her second child into the world, despite both her and her husband struggling to make ends meet.  They both work contract jobs and through Covid, were left without work.  Their basement flooded in the spring, leaving their kid's playroom ruined.  Heather wanted to pay it forward to Jessica whose had a lot to deal with in the last year.

Bev’s Story

Leanne nominated her mom Bev who has been through more in the last year than anyone should, and has been her family’s rock through it all.  Bev’s dad passed away sooner than they were expecting back in November after initially being told he had six months to live.  Her friend also had an unfortunate accident and Bev was once again there for her.  Through it all, Bev puts her family and their needs first and hasn’t once batted an eye.

Stephanie nominated her sister Kristen who at age 33 has been deemed legally blind after a disease took her vision.  She is a single mother of two kids (10 and 3) and making ends meet is always a struggle, especially at this time of year.

Betts nominated her sister Susan, who suffered a fall and had to undergo intense brain surgery, resulting in five plates in her head.  She hasn’t been able to work since.  Since then, her son and husband both passed away and Susan is struggling to deal with all this and trying to chip away at a mountain of debt.

Nikki nominated Abby (8 years old) and Brody (14 years old) who lost both parents within six months and are now living with their Grandma Susan. The kids have been through a lot in the last year and we would just love to see them have a nice Christmas as it will be the first without their parents.
