Nearly 60 people are now in isolation in South East Queensland, as a patient was treated for Mpox at Logan Hospital after picking up the virus overseas.
Infectious disease expert Dr. Paul Griffin told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons "it's very likely we won't see many cases arise from this one that's been imported".
"The important thing now is, we want our public health teams doing a great job of making sure that, if there is another case, we find it quickly and prevent any more spread" Griffin continued.
