Patti Callahan is an American author who’s spent her career immersed in the life and work of theologian C.S. Lewis, writing historical fiction that combines the facts of his life with vivid imagination. Patti recently wrote 'Becoming Mrs. Lewis', a love story based on that of Lewis and his wife Joy, and her latest, 'Once Upon a Wardrobe', exploring the origin story of the Narnia Chronicles and their impact on children especially. In this conversation, Patti talks about how art becomes iconic, the tension between logic and imagination, and where her fascination with C.S. Lewis began.
