BONSAI SHONGWE is a Bestselling Author and a highly sought after Inspirational/Topical Speaker. It took Bonsai only five years to have spoken on every major stage in South Africa – after having begun his speaking career in 2003. He has mesmerized countless clients including MTN, Swissgarde, Competition Commission, Mondi and SASSA.
Bonsai has released a bestselling DVD’s called “The ABC’s of Success” (as seen on SABC, eTV and satellite in RSA and over 12 other countries).
He has also written a bestseller called “Conversations with Women” which sold over 10,000 copies in 12 months – as seen/heard/read on all national media. His latest books, “Superstar Leadership” and “Entrepreneurship Lessons from Motorcycling” are to be released in early 2016.
Bonsai Shongwe has practical business understanding and experience that adds a depth to his presentations. Bonsai Shongwe cut his entrepreneurial/leadership teeth as a music producer in 1999. He then went on to build a successful entertainment company called Bonsai Entertainment. He began this entertainment company with R300.00 as initial seed capital, which he turned into a company with a turnover of over R3m within 50 months. His company created and/or managed stars such as Kelly Khumalo, Khanyi Mbau and Sonia Sedibe.
Bonsai is currently Director of Bonsai Communications and Business Affairs (Pty) Ltd, an entity through which he manages various entrepreneurial and investment ventures. Bonsai also serves on three boards in various sectors including communications, mining and social entrepreneurship.
