Zambian president's administration reported to the ICC

Diplomatic tensions in the Horn of Africa are rising after Somalia announced it has severed all agreements with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) , cancelling deals covering port operations, security cooperation and defence. 

Mogadishu accuses Abu Dhabi of actions that undermine Somalia's sovereignty and unity, with tensions further exacerbated by Israel's recent recognition of Somaliland as a sovereign state - a move condemned by the African Union (AU) and many United Nations (UN) member states.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni will seek to extend his four-decade rule on Thursday in an election that has renewed questions about the 81-year-old leader's eventual succession.

Ugandans are faced with a choice of propelling a leader into his fifth decade in power or backing a candidate seeking to capitalise on the desire for change from some quarters. Concerns have been raised regarding reports of violations of freedom of expression and access to information, including acts of harassment, intimidation, arbitrary arrest, and abuse directed at journalists and media practitioners.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni  seeks to extend his four-decade rule on Thursday

Siza Gule from Soweto in Gauteng, South Africa will be flying to the US later this year to study law, politics and theatre at Harvard University after bagging nine distinctions and achieving a 94% aggregate in his matric results.

The 18-year-old teenager studied at St John's College in Johannesburg. He secured a scholarship and acceptance at one of the world's most prestigious universities
