UN Human Rights office express horrow at growing accounts of violations in South Sudan

UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk has expressed horror at growing accounts of serious violations during the ongoing conflict in South Sudan. These include killings of civilians, destruction and poisoning of key water sources and waves of mass displacements.

The UN Human Rights office says in the past 17 days more than 160 civilians have been killed in the Ruweng Administrative Area in the north of the country.
