The Week4Palestine - a global campaign,  held a press conference on Wednesday at Constitution Hill in Johannesburg, South Africa, where they announced  the global launch, as well as themes various countries will be focused on to highlight the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The annual initiative brings together activists, organisations, and communities across the world under the impactful 2025 theme "Red Card Israel," advocating for the suspension of Israeli teams from FIFA in solidarity with the Palestinian people's quest for justice, equality, and liberation.  The campaign boasts over 100 endorsing organizations across South Africa, and countries such as Kenya, Eswatini, Senegal, Zambia, Malawi, the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, Ghana, and France. Planned activities include marches, mural painting, soccer tournaments, film screenings, and educational talks.
