Uganda's Electoral Commission has started a process to demarcate electoral areas for representation at Local Governments in the cities and districts.
However, this has been met with a backlash with Members of Parliament saying that the commission has excluded political parties from the constituency demarcation and electoral area reorganisation process.
And that the electoral commission is using outdated 2014 population census data instead of the current 2024 data.
