The 3rd High-Level Steering Meeting on the AU-EU Partnership on Health is being convened today in Pretoria, South Africa (SA). It is a 25-year-old partnership built on fighting diseases like mpox, but has also been a strong coordinated voice on Global Health Initiatives.
The meeting is coming ahead of the G20 Ministers meeting in SA this week. Key results of this collaboration include the procurement and donation of 215 thousand vaccine doses to support Africa Centre for Disease Control addressing the mpox outbreak in Africa.
To talk to us further on this gathering Lulu Gaboo spoke to the Director General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention Dr Jean Kaseya.
