The body of Ally Kibao, a member of the secretariat of the main opposition CHADEMA party, was found over the weekend on the outskirts of the commercial capital Dar es Salaam.
The chairperson of the party, Freeman Mbowe says the preliminary post-mortem has found that Kibao was killed after being severely beaten and even having acid poured on his face.
He was abducted on the 6th of September 2024 when two armed men removed him from a bus travelling from Dar es Salaam to the northeastern port city of Tanga.
